Why do alcoholics, decide to drink again .. when u just had a conversation about having a problem & what it causes .. ? Pls i need someone to talk to
That's a tough question even most alcoholics can't answer. I suggest start by reading Alcohol Explained by William Porter and going to Gillian Tietz's website Sober Powered also listen to her podcast, the same name. There are others but I like those. It is hard to give answers but easier to tell what we are doing to help ourselves and hope it helps you in return. I will tell my story if it helps. It's nothing chilling just downright stupidity. Reach out anytime . I am here for the long haul. Best of luck
Thumbing through your other posts please know you can not stop someone else's drinking they have to do it themselves. They need help and support but also need to want it. The old adage is true, you can lead them nut you can't make them. Help is there.
I think for me denial is the biggest culprit. I never wanted the label of alcoholic and this denial is what caused relapse after relapse. I also get spiritually attacked when this happens.
