Why does everything have to have some sort of catch

Why does everything have to have some sort of catch or money grab? Try to join or sign up to get support and its all about money .. such a turn off.. everywhere its a monthly money grab.. so disapointing that helping others is always about a money grab.. its deflaiting

I too get ticked off about how expensive help is. Getting help is expensive. These apps are expensive to keep up and running. Treatment centers (inpatient/outpatient) are costly to run. Mental health experts need to get paid as well.

HOWEVER , I’ve been here over 4 years and have never paid for anything. I also go to AA, and that is free (donation baskets are passed). I get more from some AA meetings than I’ve gotten from years of therapy. Sometimes when they pass the donation basket I feel like I should just throw my credit card in there lol. There are also some great podcasts that deal with addiction/mental health that are free.

While I get frustrated and overwhelmed with “life” sometimes, I do my best on a daily basis to not go down the rabbit hole of “the problem”. I try and live in the solution and help others open their minds to do the same.

Don't lose hope. There are many ways to give/receive support that's free. Service work, A.A. and other online options available🙏

I hear you and understand where you're coming from.

A lot of places do hit you with fees, so it makes sense you’d be cautious.

Loosid’s recovery community is free though. The support, posts, groups, resources all of that is here for anyone who needs it.

Some features like SAM™️ or the dating side are optional add-ons, but the heart of this place is connection. It takes a real team and resources to keep something like this running, but nobody has to pay to be part of the recovery space here.

I'm glad you're here with us.
