I just joined this app because I’m seeking to date someone in recovery! When we drank, and those that are using, have foggy lenses…this country is really sick and the opposite is sober. We are beacons for others. Where can you find those trying to get what the Serenity Prayer offers? Where can you find people seeking rigorous honesty, accountability for their part, and making amends? Who’s working a spiritual program? Law of attraction…if the person you’re dating still doesn’t “get it,” there are others that will. I’m listening to my intuition after explaining-and if I don’t feel supported, then I choose not to stay.

I signed up for the sober dating app as well but it’s says no one in my area try back lol

Patience for the changes that time! 
This is a fear of mine. I'm perpetually single and have been for almost my entire adult life. Loneliness is a huge reason why I drank and my drinking is mostly why I avoided seeking companionship. Sober or drunk, you just can't win. At least I can't.
I believe that there are a lot of people in our world who are addicts and don't know it or show it. They can't imagine having fun without some sort of buzz. Don't worry bout them. Someone who doesn't care about your past is out there.
Thee older we get the more excepted we get .go to meetings to find people like use.
