Why does sobriety have to be so hard at times? I know the answer but why do we have to lose everything and ourselves before we want help and change? How come the people we lost because of alcoholism can't trust us anymore and are afraid of us relapsing? Can't we live normal lives again? Can we be forgiven and show that we changed?
I truly don’t believe there is a clear cut answer to any of those questions.
What is normal anyway?
Best thing I could ever come up with, “it just is and that’s what it is”
We don’t always get what we want nor what we believe is needed.. we get what we get.

Sure there is, there's an answer for everything. Normal is being able to go out and have alcohol around you and not feel you need it to mingle.I like that line but it doesn't work for me. I believe we should see things as fate and the universe letting you know your not ready for it yet. I like to think positive and feel as if life will reward you for good behavior. Which is why I ask questions because I need to know if I'm on the right path at times?
Many of time have proven to myself that I can not live that definition of normal.
There’s plenty of individuals out there that can live that definition and my hats of to them. Yay
As far as rewards go.. I still end up with what I get. I could either take that as a bad thing or a good thing.. ultimately it’s a learning experience, that is if I choose to see it that way.
I’m definitely not dammed because I am unable to drink or drug like others. It just simply means I cannot drink or drug without experiencing negative results.
I see it the same way.
Patience
It takes time for people to trust again! The bottom line is we are doing it for us!
