Why does this aggravate me so much?

It know this is intended as a joke, but it really serves as a reminder that nobody ever really liked me much anyway…

Lol don't get in your head my man. Life is full of these moments where we just need to allow them to roll off our sleeve..I like to think if the people I'm around don't like me then we'll that's their fu*king problem and I need to find real friends. Because those people aren't at all. Just take it slow and find a group of likeminded people. Btw I think this is hilarious. Lol

Yeah, it’s a good point. I have yet to make any friends since I quit drinking.

Dude same here and all the people I used to party with don't even hit me up anymore. Which is a good thing. Use this app to find people. I have and meet some great people. Just be patient and things will come. I found out when I didn't look for people they began coming in my life a lot easier. Another option is getting a pet. But not a fish because their pretty hard to walk on a leash. I'm grateful I have custody of my daughter she's my best friend and pretty much all I need. Btw you just made a friend if youre willing to accept it. I'm Tom and am happy to meet you Ray. Look fuc*ING progress.

This road does not have to be a lonely one bro. If you are doing this thing you ought to be feeling better and feeling truly connected to others real soon. Make sure you have a sponsor and are actively going through the steps, sharing honestly in meetings, and try calling one other alcoholic each day and ask them questions about their lives- keep the focus on getting to know them and what’s going on with them. In person meetings are good for fellowship.

Haha totally agree. Sober people are still funny and actually make more sense now. Shi* we can get a mf rolling of their chairs and make a persons cheeks hurt from our humor. :raised_hands:

I will admit I have not been to a meeting since I quit drinking. I’ve been staying with my parents. Real cool, I know.

Thanks Tom. Good to meet you.

Look at that Ray you made a friend and didn't have to do much. :raised_hands:

That’s a good point, I think, to remember. We almost always make fake walls in our heads with regards to others and connection with others.

Yeah get outta that head and be open more. It will all work out and before you know it you'll have a new network and crew to roll with that understands and vibes the same way you do. Hit me if you ever need to talk or just need someone to listen. I gotcha homie.
