Why is sober dating so hard? How do you legitimately find someone? There are no dating apps that are actually a place people go on and especially in your area you live! Any thoughts anyone??? Please!!!
I’ve given up trying the dating thing. Studying monkhood. Totally understand where you’re coming from. Since Covid, meetings are scarce. Could meet others at those. This place just does a 100 mile radius.
I have had success with Hinge, but it’s a lot of first dates that don’t turn into anything. It took several years, but I think I have finally found my person. The thing I like about Hinge is that you can put that you don’t drink or do drugs, and most others include it on their profile, so you just have to be diligent about filtering. Recovery spaces and meetup.com are also good spots to meet people that may turn into something more.
Thanks. Interesting. I’m a big chicken about joining places. Seems like scamcity. Yet, you say they work?
I mean, it’s still hard, a lot of sifting, but there aren’t any other options, and I did find the person I’m with now on there.
This isn’t the place, ugh, signed up for dating. Only 100 mile radius…Good luck!
Dating is tough period. I was on Match but not heard of Hinge. You list there whether you smoke, drink and now pot. I've had coffee dates but still looking. My not drinking didn't seem to make a difference. Oh! Maybe it's just me lol
I'm still looking. Good luck
I'm in agreement. I'm in CT and there doesn't appear to be too many people around here on this app. Other apps are a challenge. I'm trying to increase a sober network outside of meetings... also a challenge.
Since the dating app here doesn't show any matches in my area I deleted my photos, but it still appears when I post comments. So heads up on that too.
Sober dating is hard because now we have different standards.
