Winter is tough!

I have definitely noticed a pattern with my drinking and the seasons…always tended to get worse in the winter. This is my first full winter sober.

For those of you in the colder, snowy areas (boston here), how do you keep your spirits up?
I’ve found getting outside as much as possible, even if it requires bundling up, has done absolute wonders for me!

PNW here. Treating myself to nice teas and honey, caring for indoor plants, writing a poem a day, pruning and tinkering in garden even in cold, reading and yes, definitely walks—even if in solitude and cold although I also ask a neighbor or convince my husband to join on occasion. Clears the head. I know many listen to podcasts on their walks. Do you? I sort of like not having additional noise/distraction.
