Today I am 38 days sober and facing my first big challenge of this journey- a family vacation. I’ll be around the people who introduced me to substance and still consistently use. I hope they can respect that I won’t be, and I hope I can find joy and peace in this vacation despite constantly being surrounded by my DOC.

You got this Jessa, just remind yourself why you are staying sober and if anything like stated above, just take a time out to step away from the situation and reach out to someone sober if need be.
