Withdrawal. Never really felt it before. 1 Week without alcohol and headaches throughout the day and very lethargic. Stomach also giving me fits. How long can I expect these symptoms ? I was hoping by now they would be gone... Any info would be appreciated
I’m not sure but I think everybody is different but the rest assured it gets better every day
Thank you! I'm in the midst of it seems like everyday is worse than the day prior. I'm guessing that'll ease up soon enough. I appreciate the feedback.
My pleasure Jeff don’t quit five minutes before the miracle
You got that right. I see why people go back into it easier just to kick the can down the road..... But I'm not gonna go through this again
. Just look forward to a little relief
It’s coming I promise you that. Enjoy the day the best you can relief is on the way
I have been through this many times. This time it’s bad, but the last I literally thought I was going to die. It took two weeks before feeling even came back to my feet. My stomach was all over the place and could not do steps/stairs at all. I am sure my BP was high. Sweating and chills. It does get better. It can take time. Hang in there. Right there with you.
much better than starting over. Boy do I know!
Thank you Cathy! Appreciate the feedback it's nice to hear others stories it helps with our own situations. Good luck with your journey as well
I’m not a medical professional, but I do know immediate and abrupt withdrawal from alcohol can be life threatening. Depending on the length and severity of use it might be wise to consult your doctor or a detox specialist. Congratulations on your decision to change your life.

I appreciate that Brandon. It's not bad enough for that yet hopefully it doesn't get to that point. Thanks for the kind words.
It took a good two weeks before I was feeling better and another month before I started to feel what “normal” was. Lots of water! Stay hydrated. The sugar cravings should kick in any day now for you as well. It’s amazing how much sugar alcohol has in it. It’s a very unpleasant ride but you will get through it. If it does get really bad go to the ER for sure.
I appreciate that. It's funny you say that I never used to crave sugar but now I do... All starting to make sense. Thank you !
You never have to feel that way again. That’s the good news. For me, I couldn’t sleep for 2 days. Then I couldn’t stay awake for a day or 2. Then all of a sudden the fog was lifted. Good luck.
