Withdrawals

Wowza woman! It sounds like you want it, and that is amazing!! The miracle is about to come for you.
Once you can see how bad your problem is, you WANT to fix it, not “need”to fix it.
So you are doing great about reaching out, but you want to connect with other sober people. Going to meetings can be strange, silly, annoying, not your thing… whatever the excuse could be, it is where we need to be. We need to connect, share and listen.
When you want to be sober, when you really want it, you will do it BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY!

There is an app that will show you all meetings around you.
As far as detox, I was sent to Serenity detox center, in Jupiter Florida. insurance covered it, but it was great to be away and just working and learning about sober life.

I would just recommend being around people that are will to help you through it and if you have no one check yourself into a detox center. It is really dangerous to come off alcohol and hard but if you really want to stop then plan it! Then do it! Then as soon as you are detoxed get into an AA meeting and go and go and go and keep going! Good luck in my prayers and God bless you

I say please talk to your doctor before detoxing alone it's scary and is the worst things. Words of advice "they are not real". It just you dreaming well you're awake because you have not slept.

Thanks

I tried. I fell. Day number 4 was horrible! My died grandma comes over ! I ended had few beers. I can’t go to hospital until April 12

Thanks for supporting me! I am feeling like i am in deep hole and for two years trying to get out! Because of that I lose boyfriend and few friends

Detoxing alone can be very dangerous depending on much you drank everyday.
You should have someone you trust stay with you a few days.

If anything happens that you should be concerned about it will happen during that time.

You can try OJ with honey to curb cravings.

Thanks Dave!

I will go to detox facility soon

Yeah you just have to wait until you're under the medical supervision of doctors which is probably the best by what you describing. I wish you a healthy and quick recovery my friend.

I've detox at home from alcohol many of times. It is definitely no fun, feels like you are dying for a few days. Hallucinations, not able to sleep, shaking, chills, sweats, vomiting, racing heart rate. Not the recommended way to do it though. Alcohol withdraws can kill you. My old sponsor had a stroke during her withdrawals. Wish you all the best on your sober journey❤
