Work is a huge trigger since my boss(& owner) of my nonprofit job is verbally/mentally abuse to & overloads all employees to the point where every single new hire in past year has quit with 1 month. As the only employee whose been there for YEARS, their duties end up piled on me with zero understanding about why I can't handle it all....hence why I used substances to escape. I'll pay for my mental health day today but the stress is terrible & the struggle is real for me today. Trying to stay strong! Thanks for the platform to vent & wishing everyone here a better day! #staystrong

Sounds rough Carly. The job market is still pretty strong. Maybe you can find something better that wouldn’t be so toxic? Feel better

Dial back on giving a fück. You can only do what you can do. That's it.

Thank you!! Appreciate the support!! I have a history of legal issues so background checks are problems. I have a great resume but possessions/DUIs that make it more difficult. Any recommendations for job resources for "criminals" would be more than welcome!!

Construction companies. Perhaps not the field work but I know from experience that most blue collar companies tend to over look a lot of legal pasts. Just be completely honest with it up front. Good luck!
