Hey my recovery family. So I never thought I would be saying this but I am addicted to AA fellowship. So I am an addict that gets addicted to anything that feel good, taste good, look good, smell good and sound good right. A true addict, but by me using twice the energy and effort to get and remain clean and sober than I did getting my next fix I became addicted to my process of recovery in AA. Now it may not be right and I may have to work on that or I may not. But just for today it's working for me. I have a sponsor I have a strong network of clean women and some men to help me along the way. That I have a month clean. And today I practice acceptance. It wasn't a perfect day and I don't think I ever will have a perfect day. But a had a pretty good day even though it started bad early in the morning. But I was able to restart my day. And didn't pick up so yes I can recover.
Oh, I do believe you will one day have a perfect day
I think you'll have many.
So happy for you that you've found a sense of belonging and support! Congrats on one month

I agree with what you said! I've only been on here a few months but your the first person I've seen put into words regarding addiction to a good thing. I've thought we are addictive by nature and must choose a "good" addiction with awareness and acceptance. I can get that way with the gym! Not a bad thing for me atall
Yes! We do recover!
Good news. Instead of a hopeless dope fiend now a dope-less hope fiend.
I cannot think of a “ perfect “ day - I kinda don’t believe in that word?
I do know that using makes everything worse and will take the best day and ruin it.
Really happy for you that you are addicted to a positive community versus a substance.
Keep going, Porshia!
…” now a dope-less hope fiend “.
Matt. I am going to remember this forever!
A W E S O M E.
Love that.
Me too.... I love that concept....
I’m happy to see the positive changes Porshia!! Amazing and inspiring
I super know what you are talking about. I LOVE RECOVERY:two_hearts:

So happy you found a meeting and its going so well!!
I totally get it. We gotta parlay our addictive tendencies into healthy and/or productive habits. Good job
