I try to make it part of my routine and drag me feet and go even if it’s only for twenty minutes, even if I don’t wanna be there I just close my eyes , do it and get the heck out of there, now I’m up to 45 minutes but it’s been like 3 months. It makes me feel better as far as aches and pains.
Do something easy in cardio. Elliptical is a great one ...low resistance stair stepper or bike. What worked for me starting out was distracting myself watching shows/movies on my phone while working out so probably choose a machine you can set a tablet or phone on safely. You don't workout very hard with your mind elsewhere but this will get you started and in shape enough to where the exercise isn't tedious and likely to cause you to quit. Come to terms with not seeing results for weeks at least. The benefit is mostly mental for a lot of us. It clears the fog for me so I do it daily , but shoot for 3 times a week at first. Good luck
Find something good to bingewatch and watch it while on the bike or elliptical. Helps the time go by. Now it’s a routine for 3 nights a week
If you are joining a gym, swimming is great
I don’t know how to swim
I started riding a bike and very easy 10/20 min workouts. And no matter what stretching at the end. Good luck!
My motivation is to feel good and be healthy. Like anything else, just start somewhere. A weekend warrior is a good start.

I’ve had a Fitbit for years and getting my steps in has never been a problem but it can only do so much.
It’s all about the music selection and being in community. Iv grown to love going somewhere together.
Have you ever tried boxing - hitting the bag relieves a lot of stress and it’s great cardio
When I was younger I did and I enjoyed it quite a bit. That’s a good suggedtion
