Worried about my wife… going on 14 days sober & I am stoked about it. Now reading the big book & working on making it to a meeting (would love thoughts on AA religion opinions) Also finally asking for a help & I do have a sponsor right now which has been more helpful then I even thought it would be. Super simple but definitely helpful being able to know he’s there for me. Now on another note.. I am worried about my wife & keeping her next to me. Any thoughts or suggestions on how to help keep her with me? Just woke up & wanted to post for more help
Great job on the 14 days. Sounds like you are on the right path with a sponsor and reading the big book. As far as religion goes with AA it is an open book. What ever religion or higher power you want to believe in is better than none. Surly there is something Or a power “greater than you” that is all that is needed. I am a bit lost when you mention how to keep your wife next to you? Does she not support your journey in sobriety? Is she actively using? Thanks for sharing and give the meetings a good effort they truly do wonders. I struggled with going the first two years of my sobriety but gave it another chance and found a great group that I now look forward to going to every week.
Is she using like you? And aa has no religion. Pick your own G o d.
She can go to Al Anon while you go to your meetings.
She does not use & she does have full control of her drinking which I do not. We both want me to stay sober & do whatever is needed to help.
She does not use & has full control over her drinking. Pick your on g o d sounds easier then I am letting it be.
I honestly believe you have to just give your struggles to Christ. With him all things are possible. Best of luck on your journey
Best thing for her is alanon. They help families of sober. It will teach her how to help and cope with the new you.
