Wow 12 days clean from alcohol over 6 years clean from the hard stuff. It’s all thanks to Jesus. I met my wife in a discipleship program called the mountain. It’s a year separated from society out in the mountains where you focus solely on building a relationship with Jesus. It’s so easy to slowly slide back and think it’s ok to get blacked out if it’s only on the weekends. It’s not. Not when you’ve been homeless and done hard drugs. They taught us to read the word daily, pray daily, be in constant fellowship with like minded believers and never compromise. I’ve tried to do those things but have I? Lots of people drink but by not drinking I’m finding I’m not missing out on anything. I don’t have to wake up and wonder what happened or if I did anything horrible.
