Wow doesnt feel real (1 year clean) 🩷

Im sitting here its 12:09am on June 14 2025 and I am one year sober. I cant believe that I’m alive saying this right now because I came so close to death so many times . If I can do it, you can. I was the worst patient in every single Rehab, mental hospital, whatever and I caused so much mayhem and have been kicked out of Rehab’s and have been told I’m not curable but I’m here right now ONE YEAR sober. Im crying this doesn’t feel real. I thought I would never get clean or be dead by now. I’m just so proud of myself because I did this for ME and to help others I love you all you got this keep going one day at a time šŸ©·šŸ–¤

THANK YOU that is so kind

So fricken proud of you Emilia - what a feeling, right?! From the darkest place - I know your life isn’t ā€˜perfect’ now and you know what? It never will be. But it will get better and better and the miracles will happen - they Always do! When you least expect it. :rainbow:

Congratulations on 1 year! Be proud of the progress you’ve made and don’t forget to CELEBRATE :tada: ! Keep using ā€œincurableā€ as motivation to keep going, because we were all ā€œincurableā€ at one point.. yet here we are!

Congratulations! That first year is incredibly hard fought. I also got clean on that date and I love it that it’s flag day. I always say I waved my white flag of surrender that day. I celebrated 38 years this year. You will get there to one day at a time. Embrace that gratitude and Continue to take one breath at a time if need be. You’re a walking miracle! People like you that share their stories are wonderful for all timers like me. To remember back to that and to see how far you have come makes me feel happy that I’ve stayed clean. It doesn’t get better than hearing about someone’s miracle.

Congratulations from Toronto on 1 year!!!

Good for you! What a mind set you have for your sobriety

Very good job. Be proud!!

Fantastic! Now get another one. I got a friend in recovery that I hung out with that I knew wouldn’t drink. And I put together many years. But if you do that you can get as much time as you want I have. Congratulations great work!

Congratulations Emilia! I just passed the one year mark myself. What a difference a year makes!
