Ya know it's amazing how quickly things changed when I decided to put down the drugs and alcohol..I just realized that all my tires match, my car payments are made on time..I don't have to try to get fake smog...my registration is paid and legal. These are all things I didn't have when I was in active addiction..and I will admit there were days in my first year I didn't think those parts of my life would ever change ...so don't get discouraged around 18 months my life started looking more and more like "normal" not addicted people's. Not that these behaviors are solely related to addiction but they are more common. Stick around, have patience, make goals for yourself in addition to staying clean n sober and make them realistic and achievable. I'm coming up on 6 years. And I promise if you put in the work, stay focused and sober life gets better. Have a good Sunday everybody.

Rewards of sobriety. Becoming a functioning member of society. Truly is amazing what can be accomplished once sobriety rules. Blessings just keep growing. Funny post. So true.
