By myself I lack the necessary power to consistently choose to walk thru the pain and discomfort of changing the things I can (me). I often have to tap into the power(s) greater than myself to help me thru the feelings associated with making the right choice
I'm no longer a glutton for pain. I used to think it made you stronger.
Where I put my focus really does set the tone for my whole day. When I stay in the problem, I spiral. When I look for the next right thing I can do, things start to shift.
