You can only ride one horse at a time

If you have too much to do, remember that you have enough time and that you really can only do one thing at a time. Remember too that addicts love adrenalin. When things are going well, we tend to increase our risky behaviors which cause adrenaline rushes. Adrenaline gives us the emotional rush that compensates for our naturally imbalanced level of serotonin and beta endorphins in our brain. Adrenalin acts like alcohol did. The only problem is that adrenalin provoking behaviors have their own form of hangover: the feeling of being overwhelmed from unnecessary risk taking and doing too many things at once. We then feel we can't keep up with all of the things that need to be done to keep us afloat. "I just can't face it all," the overwhelmed alcoholic says. This feeling can lead to relapse.

TODO: Remind yourself, that you can only ride one horse at a time. It will take away the adrenalin hangover and keep you from being overwhelmed. Cut down on too many adrenaline charging activities and keep an even keel.

Love how u put into perspective, I've wondered why I relapse more often when things r going well. It makes me feel like a total waste. I get it when things are falling apart, not wanting to feel that but I screw up when things are good. Ty 4 this post.
