Young Sobriety

Hi! I'm 24 and have been struggling to meet people that can relate to getting sober at this age. Are there any people in their 20s that wanna be sobriety buddies?:blush:

Yay!! It's so hard to find young peeps. Everyone at AA meetings are like 70 and I love them so much but :joy::joy:

I totally get it. U need someone to relate to on more than one level.

Hey girl, I’m 23 and I understand! We can be best sober buddies

30 is definitely considered young!

Hey… I resemble that remark :joy:. I first came in at 24 so I know what you mean. Friday and Saturday night meetings and then coffee at Dennys just wasn’t that appealing at the time. Not sure your location, but we have several young peoples meetings in my area. Also, there are plenty of young people in sobriety podcasts, plus YouTube has some as well. I bet there are zoom meetings for younger people as well. Try aa.org and ask them directly. Get sobriety now, bc it never gets better :peace_symbol:

Lol bc the predecessors in meetings are cool and all but it’s nice to have someone around your age. Ppl our age say drinking and doing drugs are “living your best life” but I can’t do it

I appreicate your kind words and must say you haven't aged much at all!!

Right and I'm trying to figure out how to do to that without alcohol! Like I wanna be on the beach and relax without having a drink in my hand

Yeah or like a sober Vegas trip. I’ve never been to Vegas and I’d rather not go with my “regular” friends
