“Your ego is not your amigo.”

Who else has been helped by this saying? I experienced a conflict when someone was rude to me at work last week and they said, “It’s nothing personal (but insert mean comment).” I let it roll of my back. The second of the four agreements has been helpful and I am enjoying listening on Audible. How do you handle conflict?

I have to check my ego often and realize that only I can make the necessary steps to keep my side of the street clean :soap: just stay honest and do the next right thing! It’s working for me I am leaving to work on a cruise ship and 52 days sober!

Ego is the Enemy. That being said, invite someone to not talk to you unless they have something nice and constructive to say.

“Turn the cheek the other way” is the best conflict resolution that anyone has to offer. To thine self be true. “Does it have to be said by me, does it have to be said by anyone right now” I’ve learned these two by really bold moments with grand sponsors who probably served with my grandfather on d day.

The conflict subsides with inventory, and walking away from a heated argument. Sometimes calling a friend or peer helps too.
