So i got a sponsor dhe is actually a boss of mine i work with anyways she says NA is the same as AA is that right??? I feel like it should be two different things cuz just because i like narcos dont mean i like to drink or vice versa soooo is it the same???

Sounds like your asking if it’s ok to drink if your in NA, or ok to do narcotics if your in AA. Generally speaking your sponsor is right. That being said, you will find some people who smoke weed in AA, and you will find people in NA who drink. “Most” of us have found out the hard way that this doesn’t work very well. I said “most” bc I like to keep an open mind. I definitely don’t know sh!t

In my experience NA (atleast locally for me) is alot more laid back and "real" in general. Though I have definitely gotten insights from both. Keep an open mind and find the best fit for you
All 12 step programs are based on Alcoholics Anonymous. So they are the same steps.
But we don’t discuss drugs in A.A. meetings.
They both a disease and gateway to and from each other. For myself personally I enjoy both.
