no one else gets to tell you what defines your recovery. i take medication every day. i take it as prescribed, & under a doctor’s care. and i am still 100% sober. to anyone who is doubting themselves or feeling like they’re not doing recovery “the right way,” please know that no one gets to make that call except you. i let people make me feel small for a long time because i’ve taken medication for my mental illness. no more. it’s MY recovery.
