Your take on “trusting the process”…

Has this worked in your favor? Has it worked against you? What is your definition of “trusting the process”?

Would love to hear your stories!

Depends on the "process" whoever says that is talking about. Usually, it's one of those generic nothing burger phrases people like to say because they can't think of something more meaningful or helpful.

To me "the process" is don't drink, be honest, be accountable, make amends and expect nothing in return for them. That's about all we can do.

Yeah, I’m with Taylor on this one. Basically it’s do everything that’s in your control to the best of your abilities, and let the chips fall where they may. Furthermore, believing that the chips will fall exactly as they were supposed to fall (acceptance)

“generic nothing burger phrases” … is there a typo in there or is that a saying I’ve just simply never heard before? But thank you! I agree.

You never heard of a "nothing burger"? They sell themselves as big and juicy and delicious but in reality are basically school cafeteria hamburgers with welfare cheese. They mean almost nothing.

Nope! Wowza. I have never heard that saying before.

The “process” is whatever gets you to hit the pillow sober every night. For some it is the steps, others it is meditation, and still others is service work. Lee and Taylor hit the nail on the head. Keep doing the next right thing (another phrase) and you stay sober.
