I attended my first YPAA (pronounced Why-Paw) event this evening. It was at a beach. Bonfire, s’mores and a speaker meeting.
YPAA stands for Young People of Alcoholics Anonymous. It’s a national committee that has subcommittee’s in each state and then in each county. This brings events that are fun for young people and young at heart. Because getting sober doesn’t mean you’ll never have fun again.
I had lots of fun tonight. Met more people who are just like me. Got to stick my toes in the sand! Enjoy the fire and s’mores and good conversations. Heck even read a chapter out of the big book with a sponsee..
