Thanks for the advice but need to work

Hey Joe, my DOC (drug of choice) was opiates for about a decade. I hear you man and I know it ain’t easy. Two of my closest friends od last year and I’ve been sober for about 43 days.
About 2 years ago I literally broke my lease, quit my job, signed up for insurance that would cover what I needed and just admitted myself into a facility.

If I hadn’t done that 2 years ago I can guarantee you I would have passed around the time my brothers did.

I was homeless when I got out of treatment but I was clear headed and started to hustle then I began a business and am doing okay.

If your barrier to treatment is work I understand but that job is not more important than your health

@jordan good story, solid advice. Never put your job in front of your healthy and sobriety.

Joe, I know how hard this is. I was on opiates for the better part of 23 years. I have been clean for 22 1/2 mo. I get vivitrol shots once a month. There are not any opiates or mind control drugs in vivitrol. It just stops the cravings in their tracks. But you have to detox first. You are walking a dangerous tightrope by not putting your life and sobriety first. If you don't you could very well end up just one more opiate overdose. Maybe talk to your boss, maybe he will put you on a short term disability, as least long enough to detox and get through rehab. You really need to put this first. Or you may not be alive to go to work.
