Hmm spending time with my son. Alchohol doesn’t cross my mind one second I Al doing so… watching the waves at the beach. Exploring the tidepools. Hiking. Anything outdoors
Working out, coloring, reading, walking, bowling, collecting sports cards and memorabilia.
I journal , go to step study meetings, connect with people who are looking for additional stream of income
Ok, I definitely need to look onto this.
I love the beach. Which shore point do you visit?
Yooo me 2. It sounds corny but it works. Do you journal everyday?
Hey Steve
Thanks for your connection bro
I do journal every day
I have daily habits that are based on success principles
I feel that as long as I have my boys around I have more than just myself to stay sober for so staying with them keeps me sober...coloring for anxiety, walking for depression, meetings, iop /therapy for truma ,cleaning for $ ,makeing jewelry, church ,celebrate recovery, helping people ,connecting with sober people is very important because I feel more normal around them and just conformable!!! I do alot to stay sober but I'm going on 7 months sober now
Someone also just suggested self affirmations nightly and morning reviews and daily Journaling (up lifting type) and review daily
San Pedro has dope tidepools! Also Laguna beach!
Anything creative. I like to think of it this way. Alcoho = self destructive behavior so the antidote is prosocial behavior and empowering your creative self.
So whatever that means for you. Building a treehouse or maybe a birdhouse. Dancing. Art. Music. Baking. Outdoor rec (snowboarding, hiking, foraging). Create new memories. Create new experiences. Do something you’ve never done before or aren’t even sure you’d like. Learn a new skill! Make a huge snowman. Play chess with the old guy in your hood. Volunteer in your community. Whatever you find meaningful is also key! Create this new sober version of yourself with so much gratitude that it starts spilling out of your pores. There isn’t any FOMO once you unlock that level and create with curiosity, passion and tenacity. Anything that keeps the stoke high! Yeah there may be grief for time lost, dumb stuff you did but pour that low vibe energy, that pain, all that sh*t into something productive. Make all those “wasted” nights and pain, worth it cause your here now. Thanks for listening to my tedtalk…
Implementing strategies to succeed is the name of the game
I absolutely love self affirmations and positive self talk and videos.
I have never been to Cali before. I would love to visit Belize.
I wanna visit the Maldives
Powerlifting while listening to German speed metal works for me.
I'm almost positive they have white beaches. Just the thought of the sand and the water makes my mouth water. Lol
How old are your sons if you don't mind me asking?
Yes!white beaches, clearest water, glass bottom tiki huts to stay in. Sooooo beautiful
