Day 2 has begun

I woke up this morning sober. I plan to go to bed sober too. At the moment, however, I'm taking things one minute at a time. It's really difficult. The cravings are insane. I don't have a permanent sponsor, and couldn't get my temporary one on the phone yesterday, so I am hanging out next to the meeting building instead of picking it up again. It's taking all of my strength. We can do this though!

For you to be standing outside of a meeting is incredible. That shows how strong you are to push aside the urge knowing that you deserve better

Hello my name is laurey. By God's grace is am here today. You got this. I got this. I was a user of meth for over 40 years. One day at a time. I prayed for Jesus to take those cravings away and HE DID

I am also a long time Iv user of meth . I’m on day 9 today. I’ve almost made it 10 days and I am so proud of myself . I have been sober many times before but can’t seem to make it past the 5 month mark . This time I’m really trying to get my head right . It’s just nice to know that there is someone out there like me a long time user that has actually made it this far .

I found an AA meeting near me and I'm working on my 90 in 90, though some of them will have to be virtual. I go for a lot of walks lol. Thank you for being here.

Thank you so much. I was an hour early for the meeting lol. But I fellowshipped as soon as I could get in the building. It's so good to know I'm not alone in this

U r not alone! U know we didn't get where we r today overnight, so things aren't going to change overnight! But, when we decide to choose to surrender and change, we only have to do it, just for 1 day at a time! :dromedary_camel::pray:t2:

You can do it! Breathe in and out and imagine giving your cravings space so they don't have as much power over you. Each day you will feel stronger! Hang in there!

Woohoo!!! Efffff yeah! I’m so happy for you. Just keep doing what you’re doing and stay very close to the sober community in person and online. Don’t give your addiction a millimeter of your power!
I’m here if you want to talk🙏

40 plus years and I know that IV use is harder on your body. But if you want it bad enough you can do this. On my 2nd week I got down on my knees and prayed for God to take those cravings away and he did.

How are you feeling today? Hope you’re still hanging in there.

Still sober. Struggling today though. Doing everything I can to keep my mind off of it today.

I remember how it was. One minute at a time. I was truly a chronic alcoholic. Drinking every couple of hours to just maintain. But I knew it couldn’t go on much longer and how mentally and seriously physically sick I was getting. If you have made it this far and can remember the feeling you had when you decided to put down the drink how you felt then. Use this as a tool to not pick up that first drink. I can not stress how important constant prayer is during this time was so helpful for me. Actually getting on my knees and humble myself. Ask for his help even if you don’t believe in God or whatever. Remember just keep reaching out for help. It’s a we program.
