Day 5, still hurting. Still can’t eat. Just someone please

This app is really helping. I have not committed to any AA/NA yet but I know I need to have some face to face and not just virtual.

No problem, also look up mindfulness exercises and literally just taking deep breathes and holding them for a couple seconds helped me a lot. There is nothing that will just make it go away but things like this do help. Proud of you for flushing your stash, Better than me lol. Beautiful picture with your little one too. Just think about him, my 2 year old daughter kept me going. Life is soooooo much better now. But I am not cured. I go to meetings, do the steps and take meetings into treatment centers with my friends. I had 4 years before this relapse and I know it was because I didn't have the constant reminders of my disease I. Front of me. Once I got my life back together I started to get complacent and forgot my disease is doing push-ups just waiting for any moment of weakness

So true. I never want to do this again. I was on suboxone for years and was so sick of chasing a high. Regardless if it’s being used as a form of treatment it is still an opioid and still kept me feeling like I was in prison. I was never actually prescribed it either so there’s that. Vicodin we’re just too hard to find. I’m just so happy I could cry. I finally finally got to a point where I WANTED this and just did it. I’ll check out the mindfulness stuff too! Thank you for that! Keep up the good work Dan

Keep up the good/hard work. So proud of you for flushing your stash! I'm an alcoholic and I don't know if I could have done that! You're a rock star :star2: :pray::muscle: this app is helping me so much also! Glad you have found it and keep pushing because there is a very bright light at the end of the tunnel. Sobriety is a lifetime battle but the detox misery will end!

Thanks Kari  that means a lot.

It gets better. Just takes some time. Don’t give up through the pain.

Kristina, I swear it doesn't feel like it'll get better. I never thought that it would either. But for me, it has been getting better and better everyday, this time around. Feel free to message me if ya wanna talk
