Feeling frustrated. I traveled a couple days ago and drank

Feeling frustrated. I traveled a couple days ago and drank wine during my travel. Airports and air travel are my biggest triggers, and I knew that.
Why I did that, I don’t know honestly.
Such a stupid and irresponsible decision.
I was back on track but today again is day number 1 of sobriety.
I hate that.

Don't be too hard on yourself. You have acknowledged what you did,you accepted responsibility for your choice, recognized your weakness and took accountability for your actions.that sounds like responsibility to me. you say you are starting over but the only thing that is starting over is your sober date.not your journey.

Relapse happens to the best of us. Don’t be too hard on yourself.
A little trick I learned in airports… if you start feeling the urge go to the gate attendant and have them page “friends of Bill W.” To the gate. Anyone in the program will understand and if they can will come help you talk it out.

It’s always a bummer to break a good streak but try & look at your life from a God’s eye view. Great streak, small slip, a bit of regret, lesson learned, build a new streak, make a different decision next time.
Keep building.
Keep believing.
Chin up, back at.

Man, I haven't traveled yet since starting sobriety, but I know that will be a trigger for me too.

Look at it as a slip if have serious time otherwise. You have to remember most normies are way beyond this little drinking regularly, facts. However hold yourself accountable. I had a slip I didn't have a negative consequence in a very real way. And I'm okay. Release the guilt, try not to let it become shame.

It’s okay. You’re braver than some. I fell many times. I fell really hard, and really fast, to the point i couldn’t get up.

It is We that helps you get up and with every fall from here on out… there are a good group of women that will help you grow.

Just remember many of us fell. But it was someone or a group of people who said “let us help you up.”

You’re doing the right thing  use it to reflect and improve, you’ve got everyone rooting for ya  including your dog lol

Be proud of your choice and your goals.there are many things you can do instead of drinking at an airport. Why do you feel that you need to drink at an airport? Is it an old habit? Nerves? Anxious?boredom?I believe your choice and your desire not to drink is the most powerful reason not to give up on your goal.
