Has anybody tried naltrexone?? Did it help ?
Yes it works helps with craving blocking
So when you take it you don’t even think about drinking ?
Hahaha not quite however blocks some receptors in brain for you to want it
It helps doesn’t hurt
Ok great I’m getting prescribed those to help with cravings
Ya I may call my primary and get some as well
Awesome we got this !
I’ve tried it and I believe it helped but I’ve also drank on it too which I don’t suggest. Ultimately until I accepted the fact that nothing will ever allow me to drink normally and if I continue I will die. End of story. I got real with myself and when I finally “sobered up” which for me was tapering off with a 750ml, not at all close to where I was. I drank that final glass after the 3rd day and told myself I’d never have another and haven’t looked back. Starts between the ears whether it’s medically assisted or not.
You’ve both got this! If it were easy everyone would be doin it
. Don’t give up!!
Thank you for your story ! Yea I’m like I hope it helps. But I know ultimately I have to stop for me
I agree bro that’s where I’m at , 18 days in , 4 rehabs , 34 yrs of drinking and other things , time to retire I’ve done it all , nothing left to prove but death and divorce
I've tried it a few times and it works for me as long as I'm working a program also
I’m happy it worked for you. I hope it works for me too. Cause the start of the day is great but when the cravings kick it it sucks
You are so right !
I haven’t even stopped yet
so far today I have been sober tho
Oh my. I hope everything goes great with your recovery ! And that’s why I’m trying my best to stop now. It gives me really bad anxiety and everything.
When I’m sober im pretty ok. But I think long term use I ended up developing anxiety smh.
I tried it and hated it. I didn’t feel like myself. I felt loopy like my head was in the clouds. But that was my experience.
SMH don’t listen to them ! You are def better now.
