Here I am on day one….again. the trembling is bothering me, and anxiety and discomfort, no appetite. At least I know what it is to expect, just going to have an early night

Just do it one hour at a time.

Just hydrate get some pedialite/electrolytes in your system. I feel you I remember, just get through lots of people on here pulling for you. I would have seizures by the end of my last 3 month bender. Scared me to death.

I had to get anti seizure meds to detox.

First 3days are the worst. Get to a doctor or e care alcohol withdrawal can kill you. You have suffered enough.

It’s just a small scratch in the journey. Don’t worry about timelines and trackers. Get sleep tonight and pick up tomorrow where you were when you felt strongest and healthiest. Put the train back on that track and keep on going, one day at a time. You got this!
If the anxiety and trembling is real bad maybe get some medical help to get you over the hump, no shame in that at all.

There’s a lot of people here who can appreciate that feeling. Nothing worth doing ever comes easy but the payoff is epic once you’ve achieved that

Thanks for all the advice, I have had seizures before but I’m ok now I have Valium if needed but just going to sleep it off. It’s scary to wake up in the hospital with your head split open because you had a seizure and hit the table. I hope tomorrow will be better

Take it moment to moment. Every minute/hour/day is victory. Stay in contact with sober people and people that support you. This is temporary....

If you don't fall then you will not up again. This is part of life and maintain your balance to not fall again.

Check yourself into detox. I lost someone to alcoholism. It came out of nowhere. Be very careful.

I remember you. I’m so glad you’re back. We all fall. Not all get back up and push forward. You are brave and determined and you are learning and evolving. Each moment you’ve ever had, has led you here. To this demand for sobriety and self improvement. Release the fear. Release the shame. Focus on the opportunity you have, right now, in this moment, to choose not to drink, and to trudge that road to your happy destiny.

Stephen is right hydrate Drink lots of electrolytes. Cleans you body. You can go 21 days without food but only 3 without water

I was at the point I was going to die if I kept going or stopped.detox under care of a doctor was my only choice.i would not hesitate to go in to detox

If you feel you need medical care, get it. For me, the suffering of withdrawal, although dangerous, was what helps keep me sober. I NEVER want to go through that again.

Stick with it Anastassia!

You got this!

Try meditating to relieve some of the anxiety. There guided ones on YouTube that help me when I’m anxious.

I’m with you. In some f’ed up way I’m grateful for that misery. I’m not suggesting that everyone needs to suffer in detox, but if getting off the bottle had been any easier I might not be so unwilling to do it again.
