Here we are again. I drank heavily this weekend and no call no showed at work. When this happens I’m not consistent with my antidepressants. I had a rock bottom moment. Just now going to try and regroup. Very upset with myself. This too shall pass, but I’m mentally struggling to remember this. Tired of ruining my life and everyone around me as well. Here’s to day 1. Again.

Thanks so much :pray:t4:

A wise old man told me: drinking isn’t my problem - it’s me! Never understood it until recently. Maybe you don’t like your job or want to keep going out to not be alone. Trust me, it gets better when you stop fighting yourself. Don’t sweat the no call. From my angle you never wanted to be there anyway. Hang in

Well put .

Hang in there Sara! It's hard when you get in that headspace, but try and refocus those thoughts. Remember- try not to fix or remedy what has already been done, just move forward and practice setting goals... even the littlest of little things count :black_heart:

It’s not how fast you get there what matters is that you stay going in the right direction

Rooting for you!

I’ve done that more times than I wish but learned something every time. You got this.

Allow yourself some grace. Alcohol is addicting, period, there is nothing wrong with you. I highly recommend reading or listening to This Naked Mind by Annie Grace. I drank last night too, I’ll join you, so Day 1 for me too.

One day at a time and forgive yourself, you’ve got this!

Been there a thousand times and one time it sticks !!! 50 years of heavy drinking and I finally realized I don’t want to die. If I can do this, I’m telling you anyone can do it!
