I am in need of some support at the moment. Just downloaded this app to see if it does in fact help you connect with other alcoholics to chat.
I’m new to this app as well. I’m an alcoholic I’m at 55 days sober.. I’ll chat with you!
I have 4 years but it's the anniversary of my son's death as well as the anniversary of finding my brother hanging...I'm not coping well
Thank you so very much
I'm struggling to figure out how to use this app..sorry
Best of luck on your journey. Welcome to the club
Thank you so very much
I am sorry to hear about your recovery and everything that is going on if you need to talk hit me up
Welcome Kristie to Loosid where sobriety Is number one! How many days do you have? What’s your DOC? When we share our story we can get a better sense on where you are mentally in your sobriety.
Today I have 629 days clean and sober from Meth, alcohol, tobacco and caffeine. I’m working the AA program. Life gets better.
Really?
Thank you so much...I appreciate it more than you know
Just add me as a friend and then we can talk
You may be surprised to hear I have 4 year from alcohol...at the end a half gallon of 100 proof daily, it put me in a coma, homelessness followed by a year impatient, followed by a year with volenteers of America learning how to live again. I've learned that I have been what they call a dry drunk however & I'm trying to change that
I’m happy you have 4 years! Dry drunk or not! Congrats! Sounds like you been through the ringer! I’m glad you want to do more for your sobriety. Thank you for sharing. We all have a different story, bottom, but in the beginning of sobriety we have the same want, to get sober! My suggestion is to get a book from AA (THE BIG BOOK) go to a few meetings, find a sponsor. Learn the steps. I feel when we acknowledge our selfishness then in turn give love to others we can completely recover from a seemingly hopeless state of mind and body. I’m happy you find Loosid. I’m here. Ask questions. Work your program to the best of your ability. Have a wonderful day filled with love and peace within.
Hearing 4 years may seem like the worst part is over. However I am a mother of 3, my oldest daughter is 22, youngest daughter is 14 & I'm in a battle for her life, my son, Tristan I've already had to bury & this is the anniversary of his death. "I can not" Bury another one of my children & I'm quite litterly scared to dearh
It helps. Lots of good people here.
Please ignore David and any of the predatory accounts on here trying to grift off vulnerable people. There’s no miracle cure.
Kristie,
You’re doing so incredibly well. And I have no doubt you are doing everything that you can for your daughter. You’ve found physical sobriety. That’s a huge first step. As you build your program of recovery your emotional and spiritual sobriety will follow, and you’ll have so much more to offer to her, and all addicts who still suffer.
I appreciate that alot. I get so much of it I struggle to reach out & I've almost deleted these two apps already because like what's the point sometimes. But I am doing my best & I will continue to. I haven't worked the steps but I did just get a sponsor & we are starting tomorrow. I will take the encouragement from folks like you & continue to turn to my faith & keep on keeping on. & That's been my biggest prayer since I first got sober that one day my story could be used to glorify the Lord...I will continue on. Thank you so much...your words are a blessing
Go sell your bullshit somewhere else David. This is a safe space for all modalities of recovery. It’s not a place for you to seek “investors” in your million dollar idea or sell your cure.
On My Knees (Jaci Velasquez song)
To any believers I truly suggest this song...it's what I've had playing on repeat all day... music is amazing
