I had a termination hearing today for my kids and I’m very upset that it seems like they don’t care about any of the good I have done ! They didn’t even mention that I’ve been sober for over a year! I definitely used my voice and said it’s hard getting your life in order when being an addict but I feel like I’m doing much better than last year at this time!! I’m sober and I’ve had a job for 7 months now I should be getting my car at the end of the week! I’m trying my best
Termination hearing? What does that mean? I'm assuming termination of custody? Do you get partial or shared custody now?
That means they are trying to terminate my rights all together and adopt my babies out. But I’m still so thankful for the people that have them right now bc I’m gonna always be able to see them but I want my babies back home with me
Your doing great you have to understand just because you got sober doesn't mean they forget all the past things it takes time for them to trust and believe in you , you are doing your best and eventually they will get over the past it takes time to heal, keep it up they will come around.
Prayers sent
But they aren’t giving me any more time to prove anything to them.
First, congrats on the year of sobriety!! That’s a huge accomplishment!! Your babies are so cute!!! I’m going to keep y’all in my prayers. We must have faith that if you stay sober, the universe will make sure you and your babies are ok. There is a plan for y’all, and it’s going to better than you ever imagined

Your kids are safe, healthy and being cared for. I know it sucks and you want them with you, but you did say you can continue to see them. The past is what it is. If the courts are not giving you more time, you can try to appeal. I hope it works out for the best.
Wow that must be difficult. Way to do that sober. And way to speak out about this disease and its stigmas. I will pray for you that your babies come home to you. Don’t give up. Just keep pushing! From one mama to another, I get it.
Congrats on the 1 year of clean time. Appeal the courts decision and see if you can get more time. I don't have any children so I wouldn't be much help in some aspects but I have had family and friends go through this. Don't give up on staying clean and be resentful towards the court.
How about a court appointed attorney. I don’t know how your state works. The State typically strives to keep families together.
Hang in there
I hope everything plays into your favor! You deserve then kids
What a beautiful picture of you and your kids!!
The courts are very familiar with addiction and they are not very quick to give you credit. Their primary concern is for the safety of your kids. It does take time but eventually if you keep on doing the right thing you will have your kids back. Keep up the good work!
And remember that it's 10 miles into the woods and 10 miles back out!
Saying a prayer
Sierra hang in there Sister! More will be revealed! Keep working your program. Are you sponsoring another person?
I’ll pray for your healing, that your circumstances will change!
You’ve got the ball rolling in the right direction Sierra!! Just keep going. Keep putting one foot in front of the other. Keep doing the next right thing. Keep putting your sobriety first and you will have your beautiful children back with you!! I know it can be hard to ignore the things that seem to stand in the way but if you keep doing what you’re doing it will work out!! In Gods time!! You got this!!
One year sober is an amazing accomplishment and don’t let anyone take it away from you. Sounds to me like not everyone is over the stigma of addiction.
I am so sorry for your struggle with the court system. Congratulations on your clean time. Consider appealing the court system. Check the resources in your state ans see if there is any legal assistance pro Bono that can assist you. Many blessings to you.
Don’t stop! Blessing are coming! Just be patient
