I’m 14 days sober and suddenly I want to eat everything in sight. :lollipop::pizza: What is everyone’s go-to comfort food when the cravings hit? I need ideas!

Sweets, pizza, cheese burgers, lasagna, lots of Mexican food, cake, cookies, ice cream and chips :yum:. Then training hard comes. Then work, then women etc. Our addiction doesn’t just go away.
You will balance out after awhile if you stay sober and work the 12 steps.

I always keep peppermints or little small candles on me because a help with cravings

Congratulations me personally i started slow with a liquid diet

10 1/2 years clean & sober... But Ithink I've definitely replaced drugs & alcohol with FOOD! :face_with_hand_over_mouth::shushing_face:

That's because you're substituting your addiction..... That is me. I substituted food for many years and now I can't.... I had surgery and my drinking got worse..... And then I gain the weight back kind of a joke on me I guess. But yeah seek out therapy because something's triggering you overeat or over drink. I'm just trying to help you through this process? I'm still working on myself

Also when people are using they don't eat enough and when they stop their malnourished bodies tries to get itself right

Steak, lobster, red snapper, scallops and soups/stews exorbitant if you're cold. If you're emotionally eating just to feel full or different, go with popcorn.

Anything with sugar. Your body is missing the sugars in the alcohol. Hard to think of sugar in alcohol.
