I’m hurting really bad although I have come along way

I’m hurting really bad although I have come along way so far this week.

I relapsed on Memorial Day after 120 days. I went on a terrible drinking escapade for 2 weeks and lost my dream job, acted horribly, and a black eye! I’m sober now for 5 days but I’m so ashamed of myself! I was on such a good path and lost everything again. I just wanted to be honest with my community!

Are there any accountable spiritual leaders that can hold me accountable?

Have you ever heard of WIM? It is an international woman's group for alcoholics
They have meetings online 24/7
Saturdays at 12 and Wednesday at 3 you can go online and get a sponsor
At least it's a start
WIM
It's on zoom
I hope that helped

They are an AA group

Thank you, in the past AA has not helped me but annoyed me and made me want to drink when I left! I am up for giving it another shot! I have tried all kinds of meetings previously but I stopped because it became too much but I’m sure I wouldn’t feel the way I do now! Thank you for the advice I will check it out right now!!

Awesome! I really appreciate it!

Hey Danielle, don't get too down on yourself. It happens, I did a number of times. Figure out why you fell and learn from it. Do you have a sponsor or someone you can call next time. If not get one. I never did until the last time. Do as Christina mentioned find someone. You can message me I'm not 24/7 but will always respond and talk. Best of luck.

It saved my life

Thank you! I am definitely going to try it and get a sponsor ASAP! Can you have an online sponsor? I don’t have a car right now and don’t really know anyone to ask to take me. I can manage to Uber there but not everyday that will get expensive but if I can find a way to drink I can find a ride!

I didn’t mean that negative just my experiences. I am definitely up for the next try. Sorry if I offended you.

Hey, I'm not offended at all I hates AA for years. I met my sponsor and realized why I didn't like it got over it and I don't think about drinking, or getting high. It healed my heartache and brought joy and peace in my life in an indescribable way. Not all meeti.gs are the same. It was doing the steps as outlined in the book. There is a great meeting I recommend you check out

I've heard of online sponsor. Everything appears to be online today. They are someone you feel comfortable talking to. Kind of like a therapist but no credentials other than had been in your shoes. I'm familiar Uber became my friend for a while, expensive. Try going to a few meetings and meet someone there and talk and see where it goes. How long are you without a license. Mine was 90 says. Not fun. I will talk and listen prayers always

Thank you! Yes the meetings I went to were terrible. Everyone talked about their drink of choice and it triggered me. I will definitely check it out! Thank you!

That’s a good idea because I can get a few numbers and make sober friends. Maybe they can pick me up! I have my license, I just don’t have a car right now! I was days away from going to get one that I really liked a Camry SE but I lost my job so I think that’s a bad idea right now.

I attend this zoom meeting everyday. And have for over 6 months. My sponsor goes. They have people from all over the world at this meeting. Ireland, UK, and all over the United States. Most importantly a lot of strong female sobriety.

I still had a job but staring at the car as Uber pulled up really stunk. I'm not sure of your finances so can't comment. Like they say I day at a time. It is and can be that simple. I can tell you want this. I know you will get there. One foot in front of the other.

Maybe there is no why. And if there was would I use that as a crutch also?

Why not?
