Everyone struggles, that’s why we stick together and pull each other back up. It’s never too late to start again. We don’t get style points, you can do it!

Hang in there, Kim! Ll

Hang in there Kim! Please don't be so hard on yourself. You are trying, and that's what matters! Unfortunately, relapse is a normal part of the process, but it does not mean you cannot recover!! Tomorrow is a new day. You are so strong!!

My grandpa (60 years sober and an active member of AA) says "as long as we are above ground and breathing we got another chance"

I hear ya it ain't easy .. one thing I learned from my many white chip pick ups is that another relapse is another set up for a comeback... You can do it ...Pray daily it helps a lot never thought it was true but it does..... I've seen people with 20 plus yrs relapse ain't no difference....

You can conquer this Kim

I relapsed so many times, keep at it! Each time pay attention to what led to the relapse. I finally was able to piece together what I needed to do to get sober and it is so worth it!

Five days can feel like an eternity when you're trying to get out from under an addiction. It's natural to feel frustrated but give yourself some credit. You only ever have to stay clean and sober for one day--today.

I've had so many day 1's. Tomorrow is a new day. I'm just 2 days back in so I know how you feel. One thing that has helped me stay strong is a dream board with goals. I also sat down and divided a piece of paper. On one side was Pluses of drinking. Other side was negatives of drinking. There literally was one thing on the drinking side ..it was numbing the pain temporarily.
That really was a visual. I think of that every time I want to slip up. I'm praying I stay strong. We can do this!!!

5 days is awesome, I’m coming up on 500 days, and I do it one day at a time, how I live on a 24 hour clock, they say do 90 meetings in 90 days.
I did over 200 meetings in 90 days.
I live my life in a 24 hour block, for me sometimes it’s hard, I keep busy, I hold down 2 secretary positions,
I know that at 10pm I go to bed, start over the next day.
One day at a time, I have a GOD of my understanding, whom I talk to all day long,
You can do it, if you want it

I’m proud of you for posting on here because that means you are open to advice and willing to get help.
Kim, I only live about 45 minutes from you! If you want, you are more than welcome to add me and we can support each other!!!

Keep your head up beautiful Kim! Five days is absolutely nothing to sneer at when you’re battling a monster as powerful as addiction. Just remember that there would have been a time in your life when five days wasn’t even fathomable, so no matter how frustrated or discouraged you may get, just remember that you are already make more progress than you once ever thought was possible! Give yourself credit where credit is due, dust yourself off, and hop back on that horse of recovery! You got this girl! Sending you many hugs, much encouragement, and tons of love!
