There's nothing to be scared of. I put it off for years and now that I've been I realized it wasn't bad as I thought it would be

If you are ready to go, it is definitely the right time. It may seem like you will be there a long time, but that's only a tiny increment of your life. Itll be worth it.

I got rehab in prison.

If you have the chance to get clean in the free-world, I would do it!

Rehab wasn’t the answer for you. Be careful to generalize. I went to a strong 12 steps based rehab and it changed my life, as this is a matter of life & death.

Connie - do you have insurance? If you don’t, it’s not a problem - feel free to message me if you need help.

Good for you..I'm happy..

Come see me when you got 33 yrs and will talk..

Connie, the surrender to the winning side can be a little scary but there’s nothing to fear. Get the help you need to get through the detox. Many of us faced this problem and we are grateful and glad we got the help.
Please don’t let fear (the addict/ego) keep you from getting free. You deserve better!!!
I’m here if you need to talk.

It’s totally normal to feel scared, you’re taking a big step and that’s a big deal. Remember, getting help is a sign of strength, not weakness. You’re choosing to fight for yourself, and that’s powerful. One step at a time, and you’ll be surrounded by people who understand and want to help you. You’ve got this.

You can do it.

I did the same thing. Only reason I eventually went was because I was forced by the court. Be smarter than I was. It's not near as bad as you think right now. If I'd done it instead of procrastinating I wouldn't have this record following me now. You're worth it.

Don't let the fear of the unknown fool you.

By going to rehab you're guaranteed the following:

  1. A roof over your head...in other words you're no longer residentially challenged,
  2. A temporary "permanent" address,
  3. A warm bed to sleep on... It beats the streets,
  4. A chance to :poop:, :shower:, :razor:. <-- I will applaud you if you understand that,
  5. Most importantly you will find yourself.

Don't masterbate it in your head. You know what the next indicated step is. Go for it. It just might save your life.
