Put yourself out there girl! There is a world of people sober. Try the Phoenix app to help meeting sober people and go from there.
Thanks! I’ve just learned of the Phoenix app, I’m working on getting involved!
Single and 58. My higher power is a comfort and companion. I have a few good sober friends.
You can reach out anytime. You don’t have to be lonely
Completely normal. Sobriety comes with a price I believe. I have the same amount of time and managing the empty times are indeed difficult. Day at a time
Have you gone to local sobriety events? My AA fellowships put on a lot during the summer for BBQs and women retreats and such.
Mel I experience the loneliness too. It’s a challenge making quality connections. I do know there are good people out there. They’re tough to find.
I meet people I’m interested in but most just drink too much. A lot are already dating or married.
I’m grateful I’m no longer drunk and hitting on all of them.
I’ve dated people who claimed to be sober but weren’t. It’s all part of my path. I know I prefer my current situation than being in a toxic relationship and I observe plenty of those.
Keep your head head up. Continue being the best version of yourself that you can and good things will follow
