I’ve really been wanting to share with you all & get some support. I’m in the process of reclaiming my sobriety. I decided to take a couple weeks off & detox at home. Before anyone says anything, I know it would be much more ideal to do it at a hospital. I tried that route, and the only way would have been to detox in a locked unit. I actually did go & give it a try to see how I felt, & I experienced the worst panic. I can’t do a locked unit, especially after the horrible hospitalizations I’ve experienced. So for the last few days, I’ve been staying with a trusted friend. I got back on my Lexapro, and am currently on gabopentin & hydroxyzine as well. In addition to that, I’m taking a B-Complex supplement, drinking plenty of water, getting exercise when I’m up to it, and getting plenty of rest. I’ve been having a small amount of alcohol at night, and I’ve been lowering the amount every day. I’ve already started feeling so much better, and I’ve never been more committed to getting my sobriety back. Any good vibes sent my way would be most welcome. I can’t wait to start living my best sober life.
I wish you the best during this process. Stay strong and keep going.
Good to see you back Rachel… just keep your head up.
Glad you’re with us. Stay around and keep up the good work. AA and step work has helped me a lot. Along with a good sponsor.
Keep fighting my sister! It sounds like you are on the right track!
Thank you so much!
It’s great to be back, Tim.
Stay here. Reach out more. Get your punk a$$ to meetings and get a sober network and thrive. Stay here.
This is not easy, and you’re doing it. Keep pushing you got this!
I’m not going anywhere this time.
Thanks Diana!!
Get off the other drugs. You don’t need them.
I detoxed at home the last time I got sober then hit meetings several times a day.
Rachel, I’m really proud of you for seeking recovery. I’m in the exact same boat and understand what your going through. I will be praying for you and I that we both get freedom from addiction. I believe with God’s help it is possible.

I understand not wanting to go to that hospital. Hospitals are political and all about business rather than care these days. I would only go if I HAD TO. Please be careful and make sure you have all the resources and supplies at home.
Do what feels right. You’re on the right track. Keep reaching out on here and keep that trusted friend by you as much as they can be. Proud of you!
They say one day at a time . Sometimes it's one minute at a time . The best of luck to you .
It looks like you're plan is working! For me the challenge is not slipping after I start feeling really good. It's like in the past I forgot how much negativity came from drinking. I bet you'll get it this time.
At this point in my life, I do need them.
You have no idea how happy this makes me. I've honestly thought about you often and been praying for you! One day at a time!!!!
