If you have been to treatment and already know all the classes and things they are gonna teach is it worth it to go back??
Treatment is suppose to teach you the tools to stay clean. It’s what you do after treatment that counts. Tools: meetings, Fellowshipping, working steps, etc. It’s work staying clean. No magic wands.
Depends on what "worth it" means to you.
A million times yes, if you need it.
Go as many times as it takes. Try a different program. 3 times in 6 years and something clicked this time.
My thoughts exactly. Sometimes we need to be removed from our environment and/or people.
I went twice in 2020. Obviously for me the 1st time wasn’t enough. If I had the mindset that I already learned everything the 1st time around then the 2nd time would have been pointless. My advice would be go again and keep an open mind.
Yes!! I went to rehab over and over again until I got out and got it right! It’s give you space to clear your head, and I always learned new things each time I went. Now I’ve been 2 years clean and I do not regret going to rehab again.
Yes go as many times as it takes for you
I asked myself that question very recently... in June and decided I'd learned enough and could do it on my own. I was "dun dun dun!!" WRONG. Ended up getting arrested and landed in detox
however best thing that could've happened. Did a week in detox and went to IOP. I learned a lot even though I'd done it 2x before (IOP not detox) I've been sober again since June 14th. I hope this helps a little but! Stay strong
and positive. Feel free to DM me I'm kari
Yes. If you have relapsed and need it. It is about way more than the content oF the classes, though the content is eye opening and usefull. It is really about starting out new and training your brain to deal without the chemical.
Yes
12 Steps It works if YOU work it ! Keep coming back
Depends. If the same thing isn’t working, maybe try a deviation or the quote “same old thing” find a different program and different group of people that you can relate to. With addiction it’s all about fine tuning things and finding things that can help you though tough times. Sometimes small changes yield big rewards. Best of luck!
Yes it is
Yes. I believe it is worth it. Whatever it takes!
Rehab for discovery
12 steps for recovery
Definitely worth it but only if you a ready to apply yourself and really want to make positive changes for yourself
Good evening Jared,
I had to go to out patient twice in three years as I wasn’t ready to receive the gift of desperation. The second time I did out patient I ended up going to residential for thirty days after 47 days of out patient therapy. That’s where I was given a big seed planting of AA as this guy would read every Sunday for an hour the big book to the men in the residential.
As for going back again I would say that it might be beneficial as they could have missed something the first time through. Plus this time could have the gift of desperation.
Also, If one knows all the tools then why is one not practicing those tools? I needed more convincing that I was alcoholic. I needed more consequences and to lose stuff before I said ok I surrender.
Are you working a program? AA? NA? Smart recovery?
Hi Jared! I've been to treatment 5 times, and the fifth time it clicked. I went to a concurring treatment facility where I dealt with my addiction AND mental health, that made all the difference. I kept going back because I felt I missed something or I would be able to stay sober. That’s just my experience.
