Hello Naomi. No matter what you are too precious to give up on yourself. No matter what. Things come and go and life has ups and downs, and alcohol will always just be a poison that doesn't do any of the positive things we have learned that it does. No positive effects, and definitely negative effects, even just purging the poison from one drink is stress on our bodies. You are special and your life matters. How can you help someone out today?

Alcohol as you know is a depressant. It will make you sad and possibly depressed. It is also a carcinogen linked to cancer. Any joy is temporary followed by a lower than baseline happiness so it never delivers happiness. It is empty calories that makes us gain weight and puts at risk for many health risks. If someone can give me 3 good reasons to drink I'll give them 100 bucks. They can't bc there aren't any.

Aye here's YOU...............................Here's ALCOHOL. Do the In-between to NOT reach alcohol.
Don't let the Devil win.

You don’t say why but you need to stick and stay. Dying from alcoholism is not joke. I watched it first hand - reach out get to a meeting don’t pick up because it will be harder to come back. We are all in this together.:pray::pray:

Go help a new comer and you will remember your reason

Stay strong!!! Please don’t do it!!! You can do it and you definitely got this!:sob::pray::heart:

I felt this and relapsed, wish I wouldn’t have so bad, the hole is harder to get out of each time:(

For me the reasons are easy most days. Despite the fact that I endure intense pain due to a skiing accident 21 yrs ago. I was killing myself and endangering others. My family didn't know me anymore. My kids did not want to. I didn't know myself. I made awful decisions. Selfish decisions. That is why I quit living only for self. Why did you quit? Why do you want to throw away 7yrs progress?

I don't say any of this to make you feel bad. I desire to understand. Many days I work with people that have similar circumstances and thoughts as your own. Without understanding it is hard to be of much help. I hope that you will help me to understand.

120 days completely sober, eat your favorite snack, go for a walk, play with your pets, take hot shower, Anthony to distract, your thoughts of want a drink, or drug..

I’ve always disliked the replies where ppl say let me know how that goes for you. Especially coming from a stranger. There are surely better ways to remind someone why they got sober in the first place. :woman_facepalming:t4:

Tim, please Zelle me that $20. I’m also ready to go back……. Tim gives money…….next day…… thanks Tim. Just letting you know that went great!! I changed my mind… thanks for the support……

You are the reason. Alcoholic thinking stays with us after we quit drinking. We romanticize the old ways when the new ways get especially difficult. If we stay at it, things might get better, but if we don't, things definitely get worse.

No!

Keep going! You most likely feel 100% better not drinking. Remember yuk breath, headaches, tripping when you walk under the influence! Think about fresh breath, laughing at funny things-not because you are drunk. You are healthier, you are better. Be you best you for you!

Pouring alcohol on a problem only makes it worse

If you really want to stay sober add me

When things get crazy.. or your having problems something.. just go outside take a walk. Hiking helps. Or order a moctail and pretend it has alcohol but just remember you are strong and powerful person.
