No. Things don't just fall into place, not enough to rely on thar anyway. And please don't put "god" first. Put your sobriety first. If there was a God that cared, you wouldn't be a drunk to begin with.
Because if you use alcohol it won't do what you want (although the placebo effect may kick in), and it will cause you physical stress or worse
Remember your last drunk and why you came into the rooms to begin with and then get to work with a sponsor on the steps. This is life and death and for an alcoholic to drink is to die. If it alcohol worked, none of us would be in recovery and AA wouldn't exist. Pause, pray, and proceed with doing the next right thing. Sometimes that looks like just not picking up that first drink and work one on one with another alcoholic. That's where the magic happens.
