If you need anyone to talk to I'm here

Thanks everyone

Breaking isolation starts with small steps, like letting someone in or even just sitting in a space where others are around. You’re tired of the cycle, and that shows your ready for change. You’re already pushing forward just by recognizing it.

I totally understand!!!! I’ve drank by myself in the past week. Sucks. But it doesn’t mean it’s over. We can start again!!!! I do not drink in front of people. I’m learning to be able to socialize without drinking and that part is awesome!!!

It's so hard to get why you have the problem and facing it is going to be difficult you have to attend sober meetings and I recommend celebrate recovery it's a place of hurts habits hangups and addiction they say 12 steps will get you clean I've been clean for a year and 7 months thanks to my higher power and celebrate Recovery

Try finding something that brings you some joy as soon as you start to feel isolated remove yourself from wherever you are and either go to a meeting or find some support near you your gonna get there :sparkles::pray:t3::blush:

At any point you can stop digging. And at anytime you can restart your day. I suggest the serenity prayer. It’s not a fix all but it’s a starting point.

Their not excuses just coping reasons I say. Be strong wonderful and don't be hard on yourself you deserve everything and any thing good.

Hey Joanne Thomas
We’ll talk.

Break the chaos cycle by doing something enjoyable. Can be big or small. If you're lonely, go and do something fun out and about near people. Even if you don't have money or people to be with. Going and hanging out at Starbucks and using their wifi helped me too many times. God, and doing random free stuff. Yesterday I went and got a pedicure. Started a chat with an older lady

Find a hobby or something tha that occupies your mind and body, I take a lot a walks when I start to feel tempted and paint by numbers and Journaling. Writing down your feelings goals accomplishments and getting in to the right head space have helped me a lot. You can do this!

@joanne297994 .. Download the Everything AA App. In it you will find the audio version of the Big Book of AA, 12x12 and Living Sober books. I would highly suggest that you start listening if not reading one or all three.
I would start with the Living Sober audiobook.

Hey there - welcome back! The one suggestion I took is to surrender and actually take suggestions about my alcoholism and it worked for me! I finally read the literature, went to meetings (did a 90 in 90), got a sponsor, worked the steps, etc. It didn't happen over night but it started with going to that first meeting. Whether it's in person or online, introduce yourself and I'm sure someone will reach out to talk to you.

I also would recommend to start building a recovery network so you can reach out to people before you use but while you're working on that, we're all here for you

Alcohol was the drug that took me down a darker path. So I feel for you. Just know you took that first step to get of drugs. It took you a while to get there. So focus on one foot in front of another. Build a routine. Go to different AA and maybe even NA where Alcohol is a drug.

@joanne297994 if you know the answer then take the action.
