Start over and learn from the relapse. If you had 90 days you did many things right. Get to as many meetings as you can. Start afresh with a new day and a good attitude. God bless!

Thank you Nancy, first thing I did was reach out and let my recovery brothers know I relapsed. They are just waiting for me to get out of detox and come up with a plan

Slips happen. Don’t be too hard on yourself. Progress not perfection. Remember that. Just hop back up, dust yourself off and get back to it. You got this man.

The hospital knows me at this point as well, this is my 5th time here and 4th clean date. Longest I made it was 11 months. It is embarrassing but I got to face the music

You don’t have to be embarrassed or ashamed. I doubt people with cancer are ashamed when their cancer comes back. That’s what I hate about this disease. The feeling of shame that comes with it. Like we’ve got control. I stopped counting how many times I relapsed. I have prayed to die because I felt completely hopeless

You didn’t “blow it” this disease never stops and it’s always waiting. relapses is allowed to be a part of your story and the fact that you squires 90 days only proves that you can get that again and more. I’m proud of you for coming back <3
