Medication 💊

For those who are on the fence about medication…try it ! For me it really saves me…alleviates my craving/desire to get hammered. Don’t be scared of benzodiazepines ladies and gents. It’s wonderful to be in a relaxed state all day everyday. :call_me_hand:

Lol :joy: I stay far far far away from that…..My Mother went on it, didn’t stop her from the next time. Now we just know, oh sh..well that made me feel worse than a bad hangover  Not trying to feel like I went on a bad one, trying to feel like I don’t need to go on one at all…..hmmm some doctors???

What's longest you have gone. I really don't count any more I find it puts to much pressure every day lol, then if you relapse you start count over.

Oh my god I am in total agreement! We are on the same page brother :+1:t2: I don’t count per se and if I fall off one or two days I don’t count over, that’s ridiculous. Oh and I have gone 6 months on three separate occasions.

Is this real or nah

If what is real? The conversation is..

Some people can’t take benzodiazepines, they become addicted and abuse them. I get that it works for some people, but others it does not. One of those things you gotta be careful with.

Be careful with the benzodiazepines they can be very addicting. I know been there and did that. :pray:t3:

I almost died with combination benzodiazepines and alcohol. Need to be real careful. Believe me.

I am not one of them. I have heard the horror stories that ultimately lead to death for many and my heart goes out to them.

Never say never my friend. I said the same thing. Just be careful.:heart:

Many people do die that way…unfortunately this puts the fear of god into so many that it could actually help so I just want people on the fence to know that for me it is the only thing that stops the insanity.

There are several non-narcotics out there. Not addicting or habit forming and give the same benefits. I had to learn the hard way. Almost died twice.

Glad you feel it works for you. Being in recovery I am really surprised that you were given benzodiazepines. Where I am if you are in recovery you are not getting benzodiazepines. God bless you.

I know I’ve tried them all…Buspar, Trazadone, Topomax…the list goes on. Nope, nope, nope, nope…only my Ativan. I also just an FYI have many underlying issues I am on meds for so maybe my diagnosis is a bit different than just alcoholism. Probably should of prefaced my post with that.

You don’t need too just honestly got concerned for you.:heart:. I almost died twice and just truly believe in recovery. God bless you.

Some things work for some. It's just a suggestion . Everyone knows or most know what they can take and not. It's help me tremendously with combat stress ect.

You sound like me. I also am on multiple meds for dual diagnosis. Depression and Anxiety along with alcoholism. Really takes a lot of willpower for me to stay strong. One day at a time. I have 21 months and still feel like a beginner that’s how much I loved to get high and drink. I have changed my people, places and don’t see some family members because of their drinking.:thinking:
