We are on the same wavelength..much love
Yes absolutely. So many things I went through. Then your last post was wow thatās me. My doctors wonāt give me anything to get addicted again. I am honestly happy because I would go back in a heartbeat. Much love stay strong.
I donāt have too stay strong with pills they are my saving Grace. Alcohol is the demon.
The medication I started taking when I was in treatment literally changed my life100
Drugs and alcohol are the same Mality they affect your mind the same exact way ,wouldnāt you say your just substitute
Don't be scared of benzos? You must be kidding. If you're reading this and don't have experience don't be afraid of them be terrified. What a horribly reckless thing to say. Benzos are extremely dangerous and dependant drugs. Sure they'll relax you for a couple months until they create a horrible dependence and within a very short time you have to have them and have to more and more. Classic drug addiction. If you truy don't know how dangerous they are all you have to do is Google benzo stories and you'll see. Get off these drugs before they ruin your life and don't tell anyone they arnt dangerous that's super irresponsible.
Iām on meds for anxiety and depression. I believe targeted medication is ok. I mean if you have mental health issues and arenāt adverse to western medicine thatās kinda what theyāre for. I think a lot of us āself medicatedā with alcohol. I mean who would go to a doctor and say ādoc I have anxietyā. Oh then what you need is tanqueray. Or āI have depressionā then you definitely need hennesey. Thatās what you need. Just sayin
No I have underlying disorders this among other drugs is like the only way so I was also just reaching out to people first trying to get through the hump recommending drugs to get through the discomfort comfortably.
They are not dangerous to everyone
I almost died because of combination of benzodiazepines and alcohol mine was clonazepam and I wouldnāt wish that detox on anyone. I am now off alcohol and benzodiazepines and never felt better. My medication is monitored and I am never given narcotics. I am given non addicting medication. I would never go back to that nightmare. But one day at a time
Was it just from the combo of alcohol and clonazepam? My doc started me on that in December because I have some pretty crippling anxiety. Itās helped tremendously, I take half of a 0.5 tablet, 3-4 times daily. Tomorrow marks 3 years without a single drink. Makes me nervous reading this! I was very honest with my doc and my past with alcohol. She thought this would be good for me, and I havenāt had any anxiety attacks since
Well I was on that from early teens. Then in 2019 alcoholism consumed me so I was drinking taking the clonazapam and pot. The more I got addicted to the alcohol the more of the pills I took because they werenāt working anymore. I was on .1. I ate so many one night and drank and ended up in the hospital. The withdrawal from the clonazapam didnāt start until 1 week later and let me tell you it was brutal they had to put me on a Phenobarbital protocol for 2 weeks. Twitching, shaking, it was insane Worse time of my life. Now I am so careful what I take and I have an amazing recovery team that I am so grateful to because they keep me strong. A lot of alcoholism and some coke use in my family so I basically stay away. So afraid it will happen again. Hope this helps. Just be careful.

Wow, well that is definitely scary. My anxiety was so bad though that I told her I was scared of a relapse because I honestly felt like I was going to die when an attack hit, and I did not want to turn to a shot to calm my body down, because I havenāt even had a single sip of alcohol since I started recovery. My BP would always go off the charts at the doc, and Iām fit and eat right. My anxiety just gets bad in certain situations. Hopefully this dose is safe for me since Iām taking it as directed and definitely not mixing with anything else.
I am actually surprised I shared that.

Please stay on top of it. Because I am in recovery I was offered Vicās for pain and refused so take IBUPROFEN 800 at bedtime. I am just so grateful to have 21 months of no mind altering anything.
. Reach out anytime. I love helping people thatās how strongly I feel about recovery now
Honesty is always good
Took a long time to get honest about all this my friend.
I didnāt like the idea of starting an anxiety medication, but I knew I needed something! We tried multiple BP meds and nothing helped. Like my doc said, some people are just wired differently, and she said you certainly donāt want to die from a heart attack at 36. I have 5 beautiful children and a husband to live for. Itās like my thyroid meds. I had Gravesā Disease, so I donāt have a thyroid anymore so I would definitely die without that medication! I would hate for my sobriety to be in question over a medication my doc prescribed me that I take as directed.. Iām so proud of how far Iāve come and donāt feel ashamed
Thank you for saying this
Have you ever tried Hydroxyzine? Thatās what I take for anxiety. My medication doctor recommended that and it works well for me. My anxiety is crazy. On top of dealing with sobriety I am dealing with awful long haul Covid breathing issues so my panic happens quite often. Just trying to help. Remember you need to do recovery for yourself first because my first time I did it to shut my family up this time I want it
