I understand many think no no no…I get it they can be dangerous if used improperly but just like alcohol or whatever else can be dangerous when taken used improperly if this is something that you don’t have a problem with they can alleviate the madness.
Oh really I haven’t, that is good to know..I’ll check it out. Or I might have, I’ll have to look it up.
Yes, originally the plan was to alternate the 2 medications throughout the day, but the hydroxyzine is a bit much for me. Makes me feel extremely fatigued, and with 5 kiddos I can’t have that. So now I just take that one at night. I had suffered from anxiety in the past, but it came back full force 2 1/2 years into my sobriety. I’m proud of myself for going to my doctor instead of self medicating. If my doc didn’t think it was necessary, she wouldn’t have started me on it. My husband is Military, so my Doc is a military doc on base. They are the last to prescribe something they don’t deem necessary
Awesome. Glad to hear. Just be vigilant.
. Yes if you go to the right doctor they should know. I think when my doctors read my reports they think. Oh no - no narcotics. It was really bad.
. Just happy to being living a sober life now.
Worth a try.
An app for people trying to get sober. "Don't be scared of benzodiazepines ladies and gents"

I know I know I get it but it really helps for those who don’t have a problem with pills that’s who I was trying to reach.
Is that a joke?? Really. Don’t agree with that. Read what they did to me.
Sorry to hear you almost died from alcohol and benzos. I was simply quoting her post because I thought it was funny she's on app for people in recovery talking about how great benzodiazepines are. Benzos and alcohol were a daily combination for me for a good minute. Grateful to be here.
Oh sorry I miss read your post. I thought you thought it was funny to use them in recovery. I apologize to you.

No worries! It's good to recognize the dangers benzodiazepines present and important to talk about in a recovery community.
I don't think she's promoting, it's more of an alternative. Sometimes God can't fix everything and some science is needed. From a combat vet some of those meds helped greatly. Look some can take that's the point, others no. I mean better take nightquill off the shelves as well then. SMH.
Thank you Jeff. You articulate my point much better than I.
Thank you for your service Jeff. I'm glad some of those medications helped you. I think it's important to recognize benzodiazepines are a class of drugs that are dangerous and habit forming. They hit the same GABA receptors like alcohol does. I guess everyone is on their own journey.
That was my thought too lol. Like uhh what did she say that? I numbed my mind too to help with drinking. Worst idea ever. At the time I loved it. You think the anxiety is bad now. Wait til you stop taking them panic attacks galore.
benzos made my life horrible and continues to even tho I haven’t taken any in months.
I feel you Amanda as far as the struggle goes. Do you girl, do you! Much love
Benzos can be helpful but it’s important to know the downside before you start. I used Klonopin for some time for anxiety. Stopping them was extremely difficult. I would get a severe rebound anxiety when trying to taper, worse than any anxiety I ever had before. It took me around a year to fully get off of it.
Yes yes they are
