Question for the tribe

Is it possible to be fully recovered from alcohol in 4 months yet still drink alcohol but be recovered?

To be recovered from alcohol in 4 months. According to a member of the Loosid Community you can with a lot of work and time as well as without working on any type of recovery program
Apparently all it takes is determination.

Who all says :ox::poop:.
Who all says it's possible.

It may be, but at the end of the day alcohol is poison and I don't want it in my body. On bad slip could cause so much harm, and it doesn't help anything.

My first thought is :ox: :poop:. However, I have learned thru being humbled, that I don’t know :poop: While I have my doubts, I’m going to leave the door open just a bit on this one, as I don’t/can’t know everything. Truth is it doesn’t bother me. My only concern is that this ā€œrecoveredā€ person is spreading misinformation around that can be harmful to the community. Btw, I have in the past gone thru periods of controlled drinking…only to end up exactly where I started or worse. Each time this happened it broke me down a little further until I admitted defeat. I wish said person the best, but if I had to bet, I’d bet they will eventually be back with their head between their knees.

Recovery is an on going process. If you’re truly an alcoholic then you cannot drink again. It is a day at a time.

I call bull sh.. if that's the case I'm recovered from meth use does that mean I can just use on weekends umm NO it's considered a relapse.and if you drink or do drugs you are not recovered

@tina357641 I agree 100%.
. Person told me that that they are recovered after 4 months. I want to know how that happened cuz if it works for them I want to try it for myself.
My question to them was so if you're recovered after 4 months, does that mean the past 36 years of mine have been done in vain?

Despite all we can say, many who are real alcoholics are not going to believe they are in that class. By every form of self-deception and experimentation, they will try to prove themselves exceptions to the rule, therefore nonalcoholic. If anyone who is showing inability to control his drinking can do the right- about-face and drink like a gentleman, our hats are off to him. Heaven knows, we have tried hard enough and long enough to drink like other people!

I still don't think it's possible if their DOC is alcohol and they say they are a recovered alcoholic then the act of drinking means relapse so they are no longer recovered like a cancer patient they have cancer it goes into remission it comes back then they have cancer same senorio

I thought that after 7 years. One glass of white wine lead to a 13 year relapse. Definitely wasn’t apart of my story. Not knowing all the details from what you shared I’d agree with some of the responses here. Glad you shared. Keep coming back
